Tour the NFTA Metro Rail Yard

Niagara Frontier Chapter 2020 Plant Tour

Please join us for a tour of the NFTA Metro Rail Maintenance Yard in downtown Buffalo. The former DL&W terminal houses the Metro Rail maintenance operations, rail yard and a high-voltage substation. Learn about the safety programs and protocols needed for working around 650-volt DC catenary wires and 35-ton rail cars, and the special hazards posed by rail operations. Because there is no charge for this tour, it’s a great opportunity to invite prospective new members! (See Special Instructions below for important details.)
